Nathan Balis is an undergraduate aerospace engineering student at Georgia Tech with a minor in economics. Raised in Switzerland speaking English, French, Spanish, and German, he brings a global perspective to the intersection of defense technology and geopolitics. Nathan has interned twice at Whisper Aero, where he focused on rapid prototyping and mechanical design for next-generation propulsion systems. He writes regularly on national security, innovation strategy, and the future of airpower, with a focus on accessible, policy-relevant analysis informed by both technical fluency and international experience.
Curran Mitra is an industrial engineering undergraduate at Georgia Tech, concentrating in Data Analytics. Passionate about using technology to extract insights from real-world data, he is studying applications of machine learning, regression, and forecasting techniques to solve problems in finance and professional services. He previously worked in Global Finance – Procurement at UPS. Curran is also interested in web development and serves as the architect of this website. Fluent in English and Spanish, he is a U.S. citizen and an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). His broader interests include geopolitics, finance, and global business development.
